Shallot Dressing
This dressing is great for spicy greens. It pairs well with fruit in the salad.
Equipment
- 1 blender
Ingredients
Macerating the shallots
- 2 head shallots sliced
- 1 clove garlic sliced
- 3 TBSP lemon juice about 1 lime
- ¼ cup white wine vinegar
Adding into macerated shallots
- ¼ cup olive oil
- 2 TBSP honey
- ½ tsp salt
Instructions
Macerating the Shallots
- Let the shallots and garlic sit in the acidic liquid of the vineger and citrus for 15 minutes. This will cut the sharp bite out of the onions and garlic.
- Add the rest of the ingredients to the blender and blend
Notes
You can substitute
- lemon for lime
- rice vinegar for white wine
- maple syrup for honey
