Roasted Winter Squash Seeds
Perfect as a snack or salad topping!
Ingredients
- 1 Winter Squash
- Olive Oil
- Salt
Kid-friendly Option
- Brown Sugar
- Cinnamon
Spicy Flavor Option
- Chili Powder
- Paprika
Instructions
- Cut Winter Squash in half
- Scoop out seeds and place in a colander
- Rinse in cold water and separate seeds from squash
- Place on oven sheet and spread out
- Turn oven on at 250℉
- Cook for 15 minutes, letting them dry
- At minute 15, take out of oven
- Stir seeds with olive oil and salt and other desired flavors
- Place back into oven for another 15-20 minutes ( to desired crispness)
Notes
You can roast any winter squash seed to eat. Experiment with flavors. Winter squash seeds are also a great source of protein, fats and nutrients.
